Sock ice lock

Simple design of ice lock using a sock, metal ring and ropes.

Sock, ropes and ring has to be from material adequately strong to withstand your weight and your strenght so it doesn't tear apart if you try to get out.

fill up sock with ice and put it through the metal ring then tie end to another rope

This will last connected till the ice inside a sock melts depending on with how much ice you fill it up with and how is the temperature around. Test the time in advance.

Method is reliable but make sure to use strong ring without sharp edges that could make sock get stuck on them. Whole mechanism must be sufficently tight and out of your reach so it can not get tangled and bypassed.
